Data Deletion Requests

How to ask Jogan to delete personal information we hold about you, including information we have received through our connected Facebook and Instagram accounts.

What this covers

This page explains how to ask Jogan to delete personal information we control. That includes information you have sent us through this website, and information we may have stored about activity on our own social media content through our Meta (Facebook and Instagram) connection — for example a comment you left on one of our posts, together with the display name Meta returned with it. For the full picture of what we hold and why, see our privacy policy.

How to make a request

Email info@jogan.co.uk with the subject “Data deletion request”. You do not need an account or a login to make a request — these instructions and the request route are open to everyone.

To help us find the right information, please tell us, as far as you can:

  • what you would like deleted (for example, a website enquiry, or a comment on one of our posts);
  • the email address or name you used, if you contacted us through the website;
  • the Facebook or Instagram display name you used, and roughly when and on which of our posts, if your request relates to social media;
  • any reference we have previously given you.

Please share only what is needed to identify your information. Do not send us passwords, and never send us your Facebook or Instagram login details — we will never ask for them.

Confirming who you are

To protect your information, we may ask for enough detail to be reasonably sure the request is genuinely yours before we act on it. We keep this to the minimum necessary.

How quickly we respond

We will acknowledge your request and respond without undue delay, and within one month, as UK data-protection law requires. If a request is complex we may extend this, and we will tell you if so.

When we may need to keep some information

We will delete what we can, but some information may need to be kept where the law permits or requires it — for example for tax, accounting, security or the establishment or defence of legal claims. We will explain if any exception applies to your request. We cannot delete information that is not personal to you, or that we do not hold.

Facebook and Instagram

This process deletes personal information that Jogan holds through its Meta-connected services. It does not delete your Facebook or Instagram account, or content held by Meta — those remain under your control and Meta’s, and you can manage them directly with Meta.

If you are not satisfied

If you are unhappy with how we handle your request, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
